Junior Concert Choir 10S (CH110S)

Course Description

This one credit course is open to all Grade 9 students who love to sing and meets every day in Semester 2. Students do not need to have previous experience with choir. The course is mainly rehearsal based, in preparation for performances at the GVC Spring Concert, Divisional Tour, and other local performances.  Students will learn the essentials of good vocal and choral technique, through emphasis on expression, breath support, reading choral scores, singing in harmony, and singing with energy.  Class time is also spent learning music theory and history, with an emphasis on project-based learning.  ​
