Visual Arts 30S (VLA30S)

Course Description

Visual Arts 30S enhances through recursive learning the solid technical foundation in art developed in Visual Arts 20S. Student learning consists of four key components as outlined in the provincial visual arts curriculum: making, creating, connecting, and responding. Students will develop competency in the areas of design and composition. By using a variety of art media, students will further develop competencies in the areas of surrealism, portraiture, drawing, oil painting, multimedia design, sculpture, pottery, art appreciation and art history. Visual Arts 30S is designed to expose students to a wide variety of artistic experiences, while allowing them to express their own ideas. This course provides a student with further development of art abilities to express their ideas clearly. This level of visual art allows the student learner to grow in breadth, depth, and in the transformative nature of visual arts.
